Lucky Chip Slider Bar - Broadwick Street

What a dangerous place; hidden down some steps on Broadwick Street the dimly lit Slider Bar is everything my doctor wants me to avoid.  We visited on a Friday after a few* post work drinks round Soho to take in some dirty slider action.

The Beef Cartel - Maltby Street SE1

Quite simply my favourite pop up of the year so far; Niall Davidson’s Beef Cartel is to meat eaters what crack is to junkies. From start to finish the evening was an absolute joy and I left stinking of meat and smoke.

The Hangover Diet...

It’s Sunday morning and light is pouring in through the window like an unexpected golden shower.  My eyes, half sealed, seem to be telling me I’m swimming through Vaseline...  I’ve got one or two seconds before I realise what’s going on and the pain hits.

How not to do does Berlin...

Berlin doesn't need much of an introduction for most people.  Centre of some of the most dramatic events of the last century it's a city that has dealt with a lot of change.  It’s seen some dark days and still has the wounds to show it but I think this makes it all the more interesting.

LED Festival - London Fields, Hackney

Rain, Fairground rides and crap food were not exactly what I was expecting when we trotted down to London Fields in Hackney to check out the LED Festival.

Arcadia - Arndale Centre, Otley Road, Headingley

I did promise I'd be back for a review; this place is hard to resist to be honest. Headingley over a Bank Holiday weekend is an odd place, same as Christmas and New Years, Bank Holidays bring out the crazies and those who normally shouldn't be drinking.

The Hop - Granary Wharf, Leeds

I’d been looking forward to this opening for a while now and so being given the chance to pop down for the official opening was all the excuse I needed to go out on a school night.

The Ten Bells, Shoreditch - E1

Not many bars get on here and I go to a fair few, so this is one to check out. It's frankly a shit hole, it's too busy, it's too dark and too loud.

It's frequented by Shoreditch wankers, strange international students drinking Absinth and quite a few of the old east end faithfull that didn't leave when the twats moved in. But I love it, always fun despite all these things.
